What parts do you use?
Professional-grade replacement parts selected for your specific appliance and model. The common failures are carried on the van, which is why most calls close in a single visit.
What do you check before quoting anything?
The sequence on this page, in order. On a ice maker that means mould heater and thermostat during harvest before any part is named, because guessing at the expensive component is how one visit becomes two.
Can you repair an out-of-warranty Sub-Zero ice maker?
Yes — most of what we do is on units past the manufacturer's warranty. If yours is still covered we will say so, because they should carry that cost rather than you.
Do you work on older Sub-Zero ice makers?
Yes, and they are often the ones most worth repairing. The mechanical side of these outlasts the electronics by years, so an older unit with a failed board is usually worth the board.
How long does a ice maker repair take?
Most calls finish in one visit once the fault is confirmed. If a part has to be ordered we tell you the wait before you commit to anything.
Is it worth repairing this ice maker or replacing it?
We tell you honestly, with the quote. If the repair approaches what the appliance is worth we say so — on professional-grade equipment it rarely does, because the cabinet and the mechanics outlive the controls.
Do you need the model number before you come out?
It helps and it is not required. It lets us put the likely parts on the van for the first visit, which is often the difference between one trip and two.
What if you find a second fault while you are here?
We price it separately and you decide separately. Nothing beyond what you agreed to gets done without you saying so.
